LivingWell Taekwondo

Constitution

1. Aims and Objectives:

a) Aims -
To promote and teach the art and ethos of Taekwondo, the Korean form of self-defence, the club is open to everyone; people from all walks of life irrespective of their sex, age, race or religion.

b) Objectives -
i) That all students, irrespective of their level of skill, strictly adhere to the five tenets of Taekwondo:-

Modesty
Not to be vain or boastful.  To be honest with oneself

Etiquette
To be polite to one’s instructor, seniors and fellow students.

Perseverance
Keep making the effort despite difficulties.  Never give up.

Self Control
To lose ones temper when performing techniques against an opponent can be dangerous and shows lack of control. To be able to live, work and train within ones capability shows good self control.

Indomitable Spirit
To show courage when you and your principles are pitted against overwhelming odds.  Never cease to persevere no matter how difficult the task may seem.

ii) To teach, train and motivate students to ensure that they achieve their maximum potential in terms of skills and, in doing so, promote their great spirit and self-confidence
